For our Material Laboratory we are looking for a Test Engineer, who is enthusiastic about being part of validating the properties for our material and details of our blade design through testing. The purpose of our Blade Laboratory is to increase the understanding of materials and details through testing and development of test methods and to validate our solutions.
 
As a test engineer you will be part of a highly motivated cross functional team. Your primary area of responsibility will be testing of surface systems for protection of our blades and development of test methods for characterizing these systems.
 
What are my responsibilities?

  • Rain Erosion Test, analysis and reporting
  • Test and qualification of filler and paint according to standardized methods
  • Development of data collection techniques
  • Development of test methods, equipment and lab facilities
  • Specification, optimization maintenance and calibration of test equipment and machinery
  • Setting up tests as well as counseling of and sparring with internal customers regarding test
  • Contacting test laboratories, institutions and suppliers of test equipment and technologies in Denmark and abroad

 
What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar
  • You have specialized or experience in test of paint systems, preferably with knowledge of RE-test as well as advanced measuring and data collection techniques
  • Besides, you also have experience of picture analysis, possibly fluid mechanics and/or aerodynamics as well as creation of test plans and documentation of test results
  • You possess an ability to develop smart and communicate visual presentation for an increased understanding and interpretation of test results
  • As a person you are inventive, persistent and outgoing and you have a systematic and structured approach to your assignments
  • You possess good communication and interpersonal skills and you thrive in a dynamic and international environment
  • Besides, you have excellent skills in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
  • Besides this user experience in Minitab and LEAN and Six Sigma working methods will be an advantage
  • You have good English skills both orally and in writing
