BioGasol is currently seeking a new colleague with a technical background for procurement activities of process equipment components.

Biogasol develops technology for extraction of biomass components, which can be used for e.g. 2nd generation bioethanol, sustainable chemicals and solid fuel pellets. The company is located in Ballerup near Copenhagen, Denmark, and is currently working on establishing a larger process facility near Copenhagen to demonstrate Biogasols proprietary technology at industrial scale.

The Position
You will work with procurement of equipment and components and have a key-role in the establishment and operation of a test site for demonstration of Biogasols biomass fractionation system, the FirstSugar™ concept, which is based on the proprietary Carbofrac® thermo-chemical pretreatment system. Purchasing and supplier coordination will be the main activity, with a high degree of participation from the rest of the Biogasol engineering team. It is expected that you have a high degree of technical understanding, why contribution within specification and selection of components and technical solutions, most likely will be included in your workday. Tasks that you are likely to be responsible for include:

  • Procurement of equipment and components incl. request for quotations, supplier selection / coordination incl. agreements, handling of purchase orders and follow-up.
  • Project engineering of process plant components e.g. pressure vessels, pumps, valves, drives etc. together with engineers incl. specifications and technical clarification
  • Control of Bill-of-Materials incl. change/revision/approval management, PLM/PDM (PTC PDM Link)
  • Workflow management and interface to the financial dept. using our ERP system (MS Dynamics NAV (Navision))
  • Warehouse management incl. incoming goods inspection, spare parts and quality assurance
  • Quality Assurance; participate in QA framework development and implementation
  • Logistics related to the process plant and Biogasol deliverables, both incoming and outgoing (shipping)

The Ideal Candidate
Your background is technical; process-, mechanical- or chemical engineer or similar. It could also be mercantile but with a strong technical aptitude. Ideally you have worked within specification and purchasing of components for process equipment and have experience with bill-of-materials (BOMs), product data management (PDM/PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Other relevant qualifications could include process engineering, equipment design, manufacturing, plant operation, legal / contractual documents, IT / ERP administration, logistics, QA activities, change management, contractual documents, negotiation and experience from a relevant process industry.

As a person, you are a responsible team player who is focussed on the top priority issues, but at the same time also is capable of multitasking. You are excellent at maintaining control of your area of responsibility; you are proficient at documenting your work and have the tasks well-structured to the benefit of your colleagues. You must be fluent in both written and oral Danish and English, since many of our suppliers are based in Denmark and most of our partners and customers are abroad.
