Can you set the strategic direction for the Business Intelligence and Planning department? Do you want to work with modern technologies from leading vendors in a great and international IT department? 

We are looking for an experienced manager to a strategic role in a leading fashion company. You will play an important role in reorganising and building up the department. 

The department
IT BI & Planning is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining all BESTSELLER’s corporate BI solutions covering analysis, reporting, budgeting and planning solutions. We are working with the latest technologies aiming to create competitive advantages to the business by providing leading solutions. The BI & Planning department is one out of six specialised development groups in IT BUILD, which employs more than 100 ambitious employees at the whole. Besides the development groups, IT BUILD comprises an Enterprise Architecture group, which will support you on a strategic and qualitative level, as well as a central project organization with experienced project managers. The position
We recently restructured BESTSELLER IT, and in this context we strengthen the BI and planning area. It will be your job to design the future organization, recruit employees and build your team to follow your defined strategic direction for BI and Planning. You will be responsible for creating a stable department with a high level of employee satisfaction based on a clear ambition - being among the best BI departments in the retail and fashion industry. 

Additionally your job includes:

• Ongoing dialogue and cooperation with key stakeholders
• Optimise agile delivery methods in your department
• Ensure stabile operations and optimal uptime on the whole BI landscape - in cooperation with our IT RUN function
• Implement and build one of Denmark’s most exciting and modern BI platforms 

Your qualifications

• Experience with people management
• Experience with BI solutions and performance management processes
• Experience implementing IT delivery processes and agile delivery methods, such as SCRUM and KANBAN preferably
• Insight into generic business processes such as sales, buying, logistics and preferably retailing
• Insight into BI technologies from SAP, Microsoft, Oracle and other tools is an advantage, including SAP BW, SAP HANA and SAP Business Objects
• Fluent Danish and English, written and spoken
• Relevant higher education such as HA, Master, Diploma Leader, HD but targeted management training and sufficient practical experience is an alternative

You are a strong communicator who is dedicated to build strong IT solutions with good people management. You will have a broad cooperation with the entire IT function and not least the entire business, both in Denmark and on a global level. Here you create insight, understanding and acceptance of your department’s priorities, capacity and choice of solutions. Therefore, it is important to be diplomatic, and manage yourself among the top leaders in the organisation, as well as other levels and parts of the business. You have the right portion of authority and a professional credibility enabling you to build and earn a position where your colleagues respect you as a natural top manager. With your participatory behaviour, you will be developing a department that is robust and created by the best employees in their field.
