Do you want to play a central role when we further develop and optimise our offshore wind business?

Join us and become Senior Financial Analyst in our Operation Analysis department. You will be part of our cross-portfolio function, which serves as a link between our technical and commercial organisation. Our primary task is to ensure that the company’s technical insights are fed into the commercial decisions. Your focus will be on developing our operation and maintenance (O&M) business cases for all our development projects and operational wind farms as well as assist in our merger and acquisition activities and cost of electricity initiatives.

The department is a part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our London office in the United Kingdom or alternatively in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area on local terms and conditions. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility
You will work with large offshore wind projects where you will be responsible for building lifetime O&M business cases for investment projects and operational wind farms. Moreover, you will analyse and assess lifetime yield and cost optimisation opportunities for operational wind farms and business development initiatives.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • build lifetime O&M business cases for our investments and divestments as well as new projects
  • support the development and optimisation of portfolio-wide O&M strategies and actively work with the development of future projects from an O&M perspective
  • work with our asset managers, M&A as well as our Operations division on decision support material through quantitative evaluation of various O&M concepts and issues.

Your profile
You hold a master’s degree in, e.g., finance or engineering or a similar degree, preferably combined with documented commercial and financial experience, including financial modelling. You have 3+ years of relevant work experience from, e.g., the energy or heavy asset industry or consultancy or investment companies.

You also have a profound interest in understanding both the details of asset operations and the commercial decisions needed to ensure continuous optimisation of value creation. It is essential that you have the ability to convey your knowledge to your business partners in a professional way. Moreover, you have extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, supplemented with excellent communication and project management skills.

As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. Furthermore, you are able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and business partners. You have a result-oriented approach to your work, and you are prepared to work intensely during busy periods.

We offer
A challenging position in a professional international environment with competent and dedicated colleagues, all working to improve our results and maintain our position as world leader within offshore wind power. You will be joining a dynamic department with 11 committed colleagues working in teams to ensure best-in-class deliverables to our stakeholders, including executive management and external investors.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
