FPGA & Firmware developer for 3D Scanner Development

3Shape's scanner development department is made up of motivated experts in hardware-near software, optics, electronics, and mechanics, the major skills needed to build a 3D scanner. We also have supporting functions such as test, prototyping, life-cycle management and regulatory affairs.

Our electronics team works on tasks such as PCB schematic capture and layout, programming of FPGAs, processors and embedded systems, design for EMC, high-speed data transfer, motors, sensors/image sensors and laser interfacing, X-ray and mechatronics. The team is involved in the whole product lifecycle spanning over concept phase, product realization, production transfer and product maintenance.

Your profile

• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering
• Very good skills in complex FPGA programming and design verification of FPGA centered processing systems as the most important ability
• In-depth knowledge to interfaces such as DDR, Ethernet, USB etc.
• High level of skills in in microprocessor/embedded processor programming to be beneficial
• Ability to program in high level PC languages
• Knowledge of most of above listed disciplines which involves the electronics team.
• A desire for contributing in the design/idea phase, for using experimental setups in the exploratory phase and reach out beyond the field of pure programming and take on responsibilities in connection with the scanner development
