Statics engineer for catenary systems, Vejle and Lyngby

We are busy with exciting infrastructure projects in Denmark and abroad, so we are looking for a newly educated statics engineer to calculate steel structures from our office in Lyngby, Vejle or Aarhus.
 
About us
COWI's business unit of Railways, Roads and Airports numbers more than 500 employees at COWI's offices in Denmark and abroad.
We are one of Denmark's largest infrastructure consultants, and we are busy with a range of exciting Danish and international rail projects. Our projects include consultancy on the Electrification Programme, on Denmark's major lightrail projects in Odense and Aarhus, and on the traffic and construction works related to the establishment of the Ring 3 light rail in Copenhagen.
 
We are also involved in major road and construction projects in Denmark: We are currently providing consultancy on the construction of the new railway across West Funen, where infrastructure, bridges and roads are modified to accommodate the future electrification of the railway section. We also act as consultants on the first phases of the new motorway between Holstebro and Herning.
 
Job description
As a statics engineer with COWI, you will work on some of the most high-profile infrastructure projects in the industry, focusing on interdisciplinary cooperation, national and international.
You are a newly educated civil engineer with an interest in statics and you want to learn the catenary trade from scratch.
You will work with steel structures, foundations, and planning and dimensioning of mechanical catenary systems.
 
Your tasks include

• Planning and dimensioning of new catenary systems and implementation of changes to existing systems
• Preparation of layout
• Stage planning
• Dimensioning and documentation of OCS masts and foundations
• Dialogue with colleagues and customers
• Eventually, also technical supervision.

About you

• You are a newly educated civil engineer (or a similar professional) specialising in statics engineering.
• You have professional pride and aspire to be among the best.

• You have good Danish (and possibly English) language skills, written and spoken.
