Lead 3D Designer (PDMS)

Are you a 3D Designer with PDMS experience and are you looking for a new challenge? At BWSC you will be a valued partner as Lead 3D Designer within the market of turn-key diesel and biomass power plants. We are looking for a skilled PDMS candidate with A-Z involvement in our projects. Our strategies are based on conventional and renewable technologies.

Dynamic cross disciplinary teamwork
As a Lead 3D Designer with an in-depth knowledge of 3D design of power plants you will be part of the dynamic teamwork in our Engineering Function. The 3D Group manage the cross disciplinary 3D model in Aveva PDMS for our ongoing projects.

Your primary tasks covers:

• Build 3D models in Aveva PDMS based on P&I diagrams, including
• Space Management
• Plant Layout
• Mechanical, Civil and Electrical arrangements
• 3D modelling
• Safety considerations incl.:
  • Precautions for Personal Safety and Escape routes
  • Precautions for Maintenance access and heavy lifts
  • Appreciation of the nature of Hazardous fluids at a Power Plant
• Generate ISO’s as well as Material Take-Off (MTO)
• Contribute to the further development of the interface between 2D (P&ID’s) and 3D modelling facilities
• Be in close dialogue with other disciplines in connection with the construction of 3D models
• Contribute to a productive and inspiring professional environment

Committed PDMS Designer with strong organisation skills 
We expect that you have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Aveva PDMS and perhaps also experience with Smart Plant
• 10 years+ experience in design, for example within mechanical engineering, power plant sector, oil and gas sector, offshore or shipbuilding industry
• A background as an engineer, technical designer, machine technician or equivalent
• The ability to work qualified with the placement of equipment in 3D perspective and to cooperate with other disciplines
• You speak and write English fluently, and you are also a skilled user of IT

As a person, you are committed to your work and have the ability and desire to work both in depths as well as in general terms. You are a strong organiser and administrator and are able to plan and oversee multiple simultaneous and major tasks carried out in close cooperation with others. You are probably an experienced team leader or coordinator and are focused on and ensure that the tasks are solved on time - every time. Familiarity of Scandinavian culture and Management style is an advantage.
