About the department
Steno Diabetes Center is looking for a talented and ambitious data manager/-analyst who would like to engage closely with colleagues to meet the growing need for data to support our research and clinical activities as well as driving the establishment of databases to support these needs. You will be part of our central quality and IT team with 5 employees, but will spend much of your time working closely with colleagues across the organisation.
The job
Steno Diabetes Center has had an electronic patient record for more than 10 years, which provides us with a unique opportunity for supporting research and driving continuous improvements in clinical quality in patient care. Your primary responsibilities will be to support further development of our abilities to use these data to personalise diabetes care and to improve clinical quality.
You will be a key person in developing and implementing new and supporting database solutions in partnership with researchers and the clinical staff. You will be supporting the organisation with analytical data that satisfies the needs of our researchers and form the basis for continued improvement in the clinical quality.
Due to your background and experience you will be able to act as a sparring partner to our researchers and clinical staff in establishing sustainable solutions that can assist and support them delivering world class research and diabetes care.
Qualifications
You have a relevant academic background and experience within the area of data management/-analysis. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience and prior experience of working with sensitive data is a must and preferably you have experience working with SAS.
You have experience with project management and are comfortable with scoping and implementing database solutions. You have a strong interest in working with and analysing data and preparing finalised sets of data for your internal customers.
As a person you have good communication and interpersonal skills, and you know how to engage with people and find common ground. You are eager to develop business understanding and can translate the needs of the business to value adding solutions. You work independently and always with a focus on reaching high quality results through a close stakeholder dialogue. You will be working in a Danish context with a growing number of international colleagues so proficiency in spoken and written English and Danish is required.
Your terms of employment will be according to collective agreement with Danske Regioner. The workplace is Gentofte, Denmark and the preferred start date is August 1st. Initially the position will be for three years.
