Do you want to join a growing and successful company specialised in advanced engineering solutions to the global life science industry? Now you have the opportunity! NNE Pharmaplan’s customers rank as some of the most influential life science companies in the world. They need us to be their trusted go-to-guy. We strive to be the trusted advisor who they can always rely on to deliver state of the art engineering services and the skilled professionals that helps them overcome all obstacles involved in bringing their products fast to market.

Getting that close might require tough decisions. It might mean climbing mountains. But only close interaction and collaboration will enable us to create solutions that will take our customers’ results to a higher level. The Finished Products & Medical Devices department employs 50 highly skilled and enthusiastic engineers and pharmacists, providing a tremendous pool of knowledge at arms-length. In the wider organisation, you can tap into the knowledge of our more than 1000 engineers and pharmacists worldwide.

The department’s projects are mainly focused on establishment of the final steps of pharmaceutical productions - also known as aseptic processing, In aseptic processing, the drug product, container, closure and device components are subjected to sterilization processes separately and then brought together. Because there is no further processing to sterilize the product after it is in its final container; it is critical to the maintenance of product sterility that containers be filled and closed in an environment of extremely high quality. In other words, our area of expertise is the final barrier that protects the patient and we take great pride in being on the frontline of ensuring patient safety.

The job
All our activities are project-based. The projects range from small changes to existing production equipment setups to large-scale facility establishment projects with hundreds of project participants. Our role in the projects is to ensure the optimal equipment setup in the aseptic processing step, comprising equipment such as filling lines, autoclaves, washing machines, dry sterilizers or freeze dryers. As a senior pharmacist or senior engineer you will “own” a specific piece of processing equipment, for which you will be responsible during the project phases from specification until installation and testing and sometimes you will even train the customer’s staff in the correct operation of the equipment.

In the large projects, we often gather several pieces of equipment in a work package, which you will then take responsibility for, including the daily management of resources assigned to the work package. Acting as a role model for your less experienced colleagues will be an important part of your job. In the daily work, your guidance and sharing of experiences will be an important part of the development of the next generation of talents in aseptic processing. If you are very passionate about guiding and teaching, you will get the opportunity to enter into a more formal mentor/mentoree-setup. Every new project task will give you a new opportunity to develop your personal competences.

We continuously encourage our employees to take active part in identifying the perfect match for their next project, to ensure steady personal development and optimal value for our customers. Also, you will join one or more of our communities of interest (COIs) in which we continuously strive to share our best practices and learnings from the projects. Most of our projects include occasional visits at international clients and suppliers, so a bit of work-related travel is expected. If you have a globetrotting mindset, we also provide opportunities to work abroad for longer periods of time. Lastly, you will be working in an active and exciting environment at our NNE Pharmaplan offices in the Greater Copenhagen area.
