Do you have extensive drive train knowledge and would you like to be at the heart of a fast-moving operations department?

Join us and become Senior Asset Integrity Specialist (Drive Train) in our Mechanical Team in WTG Integrity Management. Together with four colleagues, you will be the primary specialist on operational issues associated with the drive train. Your tasks will range from deep-dive failure analysis projects to providing service and insights to our customers.

The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility
You perform work on our entire portfolio of wind turbines, including wind turbines from many major suppliers. Your primary area of responsibility will be the main bearings and gearboxes of these turbines, and your tasks will ensure optimum operation and the best possible lifetime of these components. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the additional components in the drive train, such as the main shafts and the mechanical aspects of the generators.

To ensure structured and well-documented WTG operation, you will work with asset integrity management systems (ISO 55000). Technical risk registers and maintenance procedures form the backbone of your work on optimising WTG integrity.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • ensure component integrity through correct maintenance and operational strategy
  • continually provide an overview of fleet status with corresponding reporting
  • drive downtime and lifetime-related projects and activities on the drive train
  • provide operational component insights to relevant stakeholders.

Your profile
You have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar. In addition, you have 3-5 years of experience with drive train technology from a mechanical perspective. This includes, but is not limited to, gearboxes and bearings. Wind turbine experience is an advantage, but is not a requirement. You have experience using reliability tools, preferably Six Sigma (DMAIC). You have a strong technical understanding and a desire to work as a specialist.

As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. It is an advantage if you speak and write Danish as well.

In addition, you are able to create excellent results through teamwork, and you develop good relationships with your colleagues and external partners. You are also able to act independently and proactively in challenging situations.

We offer
The opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and fast-moving operations department. A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills, when you help to carry out some of the world's largest offshore wind projects.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
