Senior Asset Integrity Specialist focusing on drive train components

Do you have extensive drive train knowledge and would you like to be in the heart of a fast moving operational department?

Join us as Senior Asset Integrity Specialist in our Mechanical and Structural Team in Technical Integrity Management. You will join a team of seven specialists responsible for asset integrity across our portfolio. Your focus will be on the drive train components of the wind turbines. The tasks will vary from deep dive failure analysis projects to providing service and insights to our customers, while maintaining an overview of the integrity of the components across the fleet.

Technical Integrity Management is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Your key tasks will be to

  • perform work on our entire portfolio of wind turbines including wind turbines from major suppliers
  • handle the drive train components, including main bearings and gearboxes
  • be responsible for all the wind turbine bearings, blade bearings, yaw bearings and generator bearings and ensure optimum operation and best possible lifetime of these components
  • define and update the optimal maintenance and operation strategy and continually provide and update an overview of fleet status with corresponding reporting
  • drive downtime and lifetime related projects and activities on the drive train.

Moreover, you will provide operational component insight to relevant stake holders and drive failure mode and root cause activities and report accordingly through failure reports. In addition, you will ensure that the optimal lubrication regime is implemented at all times and on all bearings.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • have some years of experience with drive train technology from a mechanical perspective
  • have experience using reliability tools preferably six sigma (DMAIC)
  • have a strong technical understanding and a desire to work as a specialist
  • have strong organisational skills and thrive in a fast pace environment.

Moreover, as we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently, and it is considered an advantage if you also speak and write Danish. If you have wind turbine experience it will be viewed as an advantage, but is not a requirement. In addition, you are able to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external partners. At the same time, you are able to act independently and proactively in challenging situations.

We offer
The opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and fast moving operational department. A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills, when you help to carry out some of the world's largest offshore wind projects.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
