Research Scientist for Protein Screening, Bagsvaerd
Do you want to work in an environment in which profound skills and scientific achievements are highly valued? If so, you could be our new colleague in Protein Screening based in Bagsvaerd near Copenhagen, an ambitious team of 28 highly skilled and motivated scientists and technicians.
To join our team you have to be a talented and passionate scientist with strong scientific achievements in biochemistry, especially within enzymology and protein engineering.
Alongside an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles of developing improved enzymes, you will work with conducting screening campaigns and generate knowledge about protein engineered enzymes, develop and implement screening assays on automated HTS instrumentation, programming and operation of automated HTS instrumentation, data analysis and statistical analysis (eg. Excel, IGOR Pro, R, SAS JMP) together with various high profile projects in an exciting global R&D environment.
The assays we employ range from pure biochemical assays to application relevant assays where the assay mimics the industrial conditions under which the enzymes are to work. You will participate in the department's technology development and patenting of lead product candidates.
In this position you need to have:
- A PhD or equivalent experience from biochemistry, enzymology and protein engineering.
- Great knowledge, passion and a natural drive for science and solutions.
- Large experience with enzyme assay development.
- Experience with statistical analysis of large data sets is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills both on a daily basis and for communicating complex science and technologies for a broader audience.
