The role - Mechanical development
Working as a mechanical engineer for Oticon’s Connectivity team, which consist of 16 highly skilled hardware and mechanical engineers, you are part of setting the standards by developing leading edge devices, helping hearing impaired people - globally. You will join a very experienced R&D team with multiple competences in mechanics, acoustics, electronics and software.

Main responsibilities include
 

  • Mechanical design - from requirements and concepts to products running in production
  • Idea creation and design management
  • 3D CAD modeling - we use PTC Creo
  • Designing injection-moulding parts
  • Translating user requirements into mechanical design
  • Working with usability and designing physical interfaces
  • Cost and production optimization of designs
  • Working with various simulation tools

You will be part of the mechanical design of devices covering the initial phase from concept to production. Our product development cycle runs for 1-2 years, meaning you will experience the final result. This enable you to gain a valuable overview of the development process and a great opportunity to share your knowledge and innovative ideas - you will influence the result by creating exceptional solutions.

As our mechanical engineer, you will be engaged in many tasks at a time while enjoying a dynamic work environment. We have a close corporation with our Asian suppliers and therefore we offer a great opportunity to work globally in a cross border environment.

Are we looking for you? 
You hold a B.Sc. or a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or design.

Preferably, you have 3-5 years of relevant experience such as electronic device development, plastic material technologies and knowledge of cost and production optimization of designs.  

As a person you have good communication skills and act as an efficient networker who quickly adapts to the varying projects you are working on. We value a self-managing approach to your work, with the ability to work with colleagues from other cultures, and are able to travel 15-20 days per year.

We expect you to be fluent in English and Danish
