Substation Commissioning Supervisor for onshore and offshore substations

Join us and become Substation Commissioning Supervisor in the department Substation Electrical Management.

The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect to be expatriated in connection with work on sites in Denmark and abroad in connection with your work.

Areas of responsibility
As Substation Commissioning Supervisor, you are a member of our committed team of electrical commissioning Supervisors working on site with electrical and mechanical installations on our substations. Your primary responsibility is to assist the commissioning manager in planning, implementing and documenting the commissioning process within the electrical and utility area.

Moreover, you are responsible for day-to-day management, coordination and documentation of the commissioning work and you take proactive actions to reduce safety risks. You participate in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation and you ensure that the technical department’s best practices are implemented when required.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • follow the installation and SATs of the LV, MV, HV, Utility and SCADA systems together with the DONG Energy Electrical Commissioning Manager at the yard
  • conduct Q/A of installation work and Q/A review of the SATs and review installation plans and ensure interfaces to the platform
  • supervise and execute the Site Integration tests (SIT) related to all equipment as well as solve upcoming issues related to the SIT
  • follow up on progress and results from suppliers and ensure a pro-active approach
  • identify interfaces and handle them in cooperation with the rest of the team.

Your profile
You are an experienced electrician or electrical engineer with additional knowledge and documented experienced within commissioning. Experience with offshore wind farm substations is preferred.

Moreover, you have experience with HSE as well as Quality Assurance. As we work across borders, you must have strong English language skills at negotiation level. Lastly, you must have cultural knowledge of how to interact in a multi-national and multi-cultural company and project organisation.
