Work Site Manager

Civil engineer with experience in Civil Engineering and Construction Works on large scale projects

Metroselskabet is recruiting Work Site Managers (WSM) for some of  the 21 Cityringen Station & Shaft Work Sites.

Metroselskabet has a the Client, the Civil Works Management Department (CWM) to manage and supervise the contract with the Civil Works Contractor, CMT. CWM acts on broad range of disciplines from stakeholder contact, neighbor relation and communication to hardcore concrete works technical supervision, progress & planning supervision and site management. We are a young and dynamic multi-disciplinary and multicultural team of construction specialist and supervisors work in a cross-functional environment.

The WSM is to become part of the Cityringen Construction Works Supervision Team in the CWM Department, and will be in charge of typically a station or shaft work site, and will deal with all disciplines concerning a specific work site on the Cityringen. The WSM will draw on the extensive in house pool of technical & engineering knowledge, for specialist issues, on day-to-day as well as ad hoc basis. The position reports to the Section Manager in the Construction Works Team in the Civil Works Management Department. The Work Site Manager will be located at one of the Cityringen Station & Shaft Work Sites.

Responsibility and authority:

• Work site supervision & Communication 
  • Occupational Health & Safety Coordination (after training by Metroselskabet)
  • Neighbour relations
• Construction works supervision
  • Station works and/or Tunnelling works, with emphasis on concrete and excavation works    
  • M&E Works
• Assisting supervision of    
  • Monitoring of e.g. building and ground movements  
  • Geotechnical and geohydrological
• Supporting Project Control concerning assessment of
  • Progress Reports
  • Programming/Scheduling
  • Quality Control

Competences:

• Educated as Civil Engineer or similar
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Civil Engineering & Construction Works, with good knowledge of concrete technics and/or excavation works, and preferable within tunneling & shaft construction.
• Relevant work site management and quality control experience on large scale projects.
• Fluent in English
• Generalist, Open-minded, thorough, service-minded, proactive
