Manager, Supply Base Optimization - a global career opportunity

Global Procurement in Nilfisk-Advance is on a journey of radical improvement. We fundamentally change our approach to sourcing, so our new Supply Base Optimization Manager must share our burning ambition to build a world-class procurement organization.

The job
You will be part of Global Procurement. We are 60+ employees that manage more than 35% of Nilfisk-Advance’s cost base so the decisions we make have a significant impact on the company’s profitability.

One of our key strategic initiatives is to align Nilfisk-Advance’s global supplier network with the strategic needs of the business. You will play a central role in this initiative, where a Supply Base Optimization Team is to be formed. Working closely with the senior management team in Global Operations you will shape our future supplier network over the coming years. 

You will get an opportunity to develop the strategy, set the direction and execute on a high-profile, must-win battle for Nilfisk-Advance: Optimization of our entire supplier network, ensuring that suppliers perform on quality, delivery and cost. 

The job is at our Headquarters in Brøndby, where you will be reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Procurement, Mikael Kremmer.

You will drive strategic change
These key responsibilities will be given:

  • Analyze Nilfisk-Advance’s supplier base in cooperation with the Global Operations Management Team, and devise a strategy for optimization with the ambition to consolidate with fewer suppliers. We intend to move business from hundreds of suppliers to build our business with fewer strategic partners
  • Deliver change. You will be asked to build and manage a global team with members in Asia, Europe and the Americas
  • You will be a member of the Global Procurement Management Team

Your profile
We expect that you:

  • Have a Master’s degree, for example in engineering or business
  • Are fluent in English, Danish is not required
  • Have a proven track record in international project management, for example as a management consultant
  • Have the ability to manage a global team
  • Have a desire to build/continue  a career in a global management role
  • Have strong analytical and people skills, and a can-do attitude regardless of obstacles
  • Thrive on working in an open and challenging environment with direct exposure to Group Management
  • View this as an ambitious next step, opening doors to a career in a global company
