Innovative start-up seek experienced electrical engineer with focus on reliability and certification

Nordic Power Converters develop cutting-edge power supplies, which will set new standards for power conversion.

Our award winning start-up has a patent pending technology for power converters, which enables switching frequencies above 30 MHz - almost 1,000 times faster than other commercial products. This enables a size reduction of 80% combined with increased lifespan and a reduced bill-of-material.

We are currently developing our first product for the LED market that is to be certified, produced and delivered by the end of the year. To facilitate this, we seek a key member to our team, who should have experience with electronics development with focus on quality and reliability and have strong expertise within product certification.

The right candidate will join our lean, devoted and highly skilled team. Together we will develop, produce and sell the next generation of power supplies and bring the company to set the standard for power supplies.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise within test and certification of electronics
• At least ten years experience with development of electronics
• Focus on design for reliability and long lifespan
• Experience with power electronics, preferably in medium power levels (1-200 W)
• Experience with project management and following products from specification to final product
• Preferably experience with accelerated lifetime test and other reliability tests
• Preferably experience with production and packaging
• Preferably experience with LED lighting, resonant converters and/or RF circuits

Responsibilities

You will become part of our development team and be the main responsible for test and certification of our products. This includes:

• Setting up test plans and making documentation for certification and products
• Negotiations with and overviewing test at testing facilities, both nationally and internationally
• Optimize circuits for long lifespan and production
• Other areas of the development depending on qualifications
