Join us and become Lead Specialist in the Wind Turbines Technical Management - Quality & Commissioning Management team in our Engineering division. We are responsible for planning, organising and following up on quality activities related to wind turbine supply, including commissioning and take-over. We are also engaged in handover of turbines to the operational part of Wind Power as well as quality and supply risks related to new turbines.

The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility
You will be responsible for evaluating supply and quality issues and risks identified in our technology qualification of new wind turbine design and supply. You will also head our team's methodologies, processes and tools as well as head development of supply and quality descriptions based on existing practises and drive implementation of changed processes and tools.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • head and/or participate in supply and quality assessment workshops
  • prepare and quality assure parts of supply and quality assessment reports
  • ensure high quality and clarity in our communication of issues and risks identified
  • continuously grow the competence level within supply and quality assessment and help to increase knowhow in our department and peer departments
  • represent our Wind Turbines function in cross-organisational supply and quality assessment initiatives.

From time to time, you may execute specific projects or work streams alongside your portfolio work. The role is relatively new in our team, so you will have the opportunity to scope your role.

Your profile
You hold a master’s degree in engineering or similar and have several years of experience with supply chain and quality management systems/assessment. You have a strong analytical mind-set and experience with using methodologies such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, Lean, etc. Further, you have experience with project management enabling you to scope and execute projects in clear alignment with stakeholders and overall strategy.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement that you have knowledge of wind turbine business and offshore construction projects. Preferably, you are a qualified IRCA Lead Auditor in quality management systems.

On the portfolio level and in the projects, you cooperate with colleagues with varying backgrounds and across different organisational levels. Thus, good communication skills, verbally and in writing, combined with strong interpersonal skills are key to success in this position. Fluency in English - both in speech and in writing - is essential.

We offer
A unique and challenging position where you will have the opportunity to drive the area of supply and quality assessment of wind turbines and have an impact on our corporate strategic agenda. You will join a dynamic team of competent colleagues who value professional discussions in an informal atmosphere.

In DONG Energy Wind Power, we have a high level of expertise and many complex and challenging work tasks. We work goal-oriented and efficiently with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects, and we are committed to reducing the cost of electricity.
