Would you like to manage the technical information in the operation of oil and gas production facilities?

Join us and become Document Controller in Records Management, where we secure the traceability and quality of technical information in the full life cycle of offshore facilities - from early development to operation and maintenance. We are located where the activities take place as integrated members of projects and operational teams, highly focusing on efficient information management.

The Records Management department consists of highly committed colleagues, 3 in Esbjerg and 15 in Gentofte, working with records and information management in various projects and operational activities in the entire Exploration & Production business unit. We focus our efforts on bringing the business forward in the way we collaborate and control information critical to our business.

You will be based at our office in Esbjerg. However, you should expect some occasional travelling to our office in Gentofte in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility
As Document Controller, you manage technical information related to the modification of offshore oil and gas facilities while they are in operation - currently our Siri facility in operation and in the years to come our new Hejre facility, which is under development. You are a central part of the document management of our portfolio of projects modifying offshore facilities.

You ensure correct handling of technical documentation, which is critical to our business. The work implies a close cooperation with project managers, engineers and suppliers in various projects and activities.

Furthermore, your key tasks will be to:

  • receive, register and quality check technical documentation
  • distribute documentation for internal and external review
  • secure suppliers comply with requirements to technical documentation
  • support project engineers in the use of document management systems and records management
  • prepare work instructions for how documentation shall be managed to secure traceability
  • train others in work processes to secure all handle documentation the same way.

Your profile
You have a relevant technical background, eg technical designer, combined with experience of document management in the oil and gas industry. Preferably, you have minimum 3-5 years of experience from an oil and gas production company, or alternatively a contractor or supplier. You have above average IT skills and knowledge of document management systems, preferably ProArc or SharePoint, and how such systems are used in a technical engineering environment. Furthermore, you have an understanding of relevant documentation management standards and industry practice.

As a person, you have a structured work approach and a high focus on details. You are self-motivated and a team player with a strength to execute. You have good communication skills, which you use in daily collaboration with others.
