Are you interested in working with challenging offshore HPHT field development?
 
Join us and become Lead Geomechanical Specialist for our Subsurface Engineering function in Denmark. Subsurface Engineering provides reservoir and geomechanics engineering services to our Danish, Norwegian and UK Exploration & Production business areas. Services include new business and near-field opportunity evaluation, appraisal and field development planning, unitisations and production operations for Danish assets. You will also be providing corporate support on subsurface evaluations within all our Exploration & Production business units.
 
The department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline.
 
You will be based at our office in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.
 
Areas of responsibility
As Lead Geomechanical Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to head geomechanical 3D modeling, data integration and standards processes.
 
Your tasks will be to:

  • build and develop 3D geomechanical models for oil and gas fields
  • integrate dynamic data and stress models for geomechanical analyses supporting reservoir management, field development and well design decisions
  • develop and implement geomechanical engineering standards and best practices.

 
Your profile
You have a degree in engineering and a proven performance record within relevant fields of application.
 
Moreover, you have extensive expertise in the mechanical behavior of materials and finite element modelling, and you give high priority to sound and informed decision-making.
 
In addition to being a driving force in defining and executing tasks, you are a good communicator and a team player.
