Goal Oriented Project Manager in LEGOLAND®           

We seek an experienced and competent Project Manager for our new development projects to ensure  world-class delivery of rides and experiences that give our guests something to smile about. For the right person this is a challenging and exciting position in a global company with an exceptional growth strategy and constant focus on development. 

The Job
Your mission and main task is to manage new development projects in the LEGOLAND Park, in LEGOLAND Holiday Village and at the Hotel LEGOLAND. Involvement in projects abroad might be relevant. Our investment strategy demands a goal-oriented Project Manager who with personal drive and engagement can manage complex development projects according to budgets and time schedules and to the highest possible quality. This will mean contact to a wide variety of internal and external people, including builders, suppliers, designers and marketing - and at the same time being able to hold your ground. No project will go ahead without you having investigated its feasibility, cost, safety and planning. It will be your job to assess potential risks. Your considerable organization experience and unquestioned ability to influence will ensure that every project in which you are involved runs like clockwork.  

You manage projects through all phases from clarification to preparation, implementation and handover to the operating group so the business operates effectively from the scheduled in use date. The projects cover both large and new strategic important activities unique for LEGOLAND with a development and implementation time of up to 2 years and minor projects as for example new shops, restaurants and thematized rooms at the Hotel LEGOLAND and in LEGOLAND Holiday Village. 
In the planning phase you are the driver and ensure involvement of the right persons at the right time. During the building period you will be daily manager of the project team and therefore also responsible on the building site until the project is handed over to daily operations. As a Project Manager your also resolve problems on a day by day and week by week basis to meet changing needs and requirements.  

You will be part of a matrix organization with reference to the European Project Director for Merlin Magic Making consisting of a group of project and construction experts working worldwide on new business opportunities for Attractions, Hotels and Resorts. You will have daily interference with the Billund team.

Your Experience and Qualifications 
The position requires at least engineer education or equivalent plus minimum 3 years documented experience in managing complex building projects or establishing large technical installations with a strong understanding of designer standards, authority requirements, rules and regulations and health, safety and security rules and policies.  Project manager education will be ideal. You are a strong negotiator on enterprises and we expect that your professional background makes you an excellent sparring partner in both design and construction methods and in technical installations. 

As manager you are a proactive, goal-oriented self-starter. You are a born communicator and motivator engaging with people on all levels to get things done. You have a high drive, work independently and understand the importance of cross organizational cooperation. You create results through teamwork and develop good relationships to your colleagues and external business partners.   You master the necessary project management tools and can structure and plan your projects and your work so that all involved know their exact role.

During periods the atmosphere may be very busy, and it is important that you are able to maintain overview, focus on essentials and stay calm in hectic situations. We expect our new Project Manager to be flexible with the possibility of yielding an extra effort during peak load periods that must be expected.

You must be fluent in Danish and English - both orally and in writing.
You are an experienced IT user.
