MAN Diesel & Turbo is looking for a Manager with strong Project Management skills

PrimeServ is MAN Diesel & Turbo’ s After Sales organization, where we sell spare parts, retrofit solutions, service, training and technical knowhow to our customers. We want to be the customers preferred Service Partner and build up long-term relations to our customers. The After Sales organization is supported by more than 100 service hubs worldwide. 

The Position: 
We are looking for an experienced Manager with a strong commercial project management profile who will be responsible for managing 8 highly dedicated employees and our global projects in our Retrofit department. The Retrofit & Upgrade portfolio consists of a broad range of solutions within diesel engine technology, where the main focus is to apply the latest developed features to engines in service and thereby both lowering the running costs as well as minimizing emissions.

Responsibilities:
As a Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of Technical Project Managers as well as Commercial Project Managers. This means coaching and supporting them in their roles and participating in critical meetings when needed.

As a Manager you will also be responsible for all technical and commercial aspects of execution of retrofit projects.

This will among others include the following: 

• Responsible of or participating in turnkey projects (scale from 10.000 euro to 20.000.000 euro)
• Ensure that technical projects are executed according to contracts and customer’s satisfaction
• Ensure that project budgets and deadlines are kept
• Contract management in cooperation with external/internal key stakeholders
• Negotiations of unknown or not documented factors

Experience/Education required:  

• Higher (technical) education as Marine, Mechanical, Production or Export Engineer  is a must
• Extensive and documented project management experience with technical large-scale projects, preferably from an international company is required combined with strong economical expertise
• If you have experience with shipyards and/or thorough knowledge within engine technology, it will be an advantage
• You must have excellent English skills both orally and in writing
