Our Human Health and Nutrition (HHN) Release team in Avedøre is expanding and looking for a new colleague to act as QP delegate. You will become part of our global quality organization and report to our HHN Release Manager, located in Global Product Quality, Cultures and Enzymes Division (CED). 

Chr. Hansen is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of microbial cultures to the dairy industry and of probiotic products to global customers in the pharmaceutical, food and animal feed industries. 

Your tasks 
You will be responsible for batch review and release of our probiotic products for pharmaceutical, dietary and infant use. Release work will be your predominant task and you will work closely with internal departments and external contractors, ensuring relevant cGMP compliance and customer requirements are met.

  • Batch documentation review and product release
  • Handling of investigations of non-conforming products
  • Managing product quality complaints
  • Representing Quality in project teams and acting as an ambassador for quality
  • Contact with quality staff at sub-contractors, review and approval of relevant sub-contractor quality documents
  • Approval of change controls
  • Participating in audits from customers, authority inspections and external certification body inspections
  • Participating in internal audits and external audits at sub-contractors
  • Following up after audits and inspections and driving the implementation of improvements to the quality system
  • Assisting in establishing and revising quality agreements with customers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring implementation of customer specific release requirements
  • Contributing to Annual Product Review
  • Keeping SOP’s up to date
  • Keeping up to date with cGMP and relevant regulatory requirements

Your personal profile

  • You hold a degree in Microbiology, Engineering, Food Science, Pharmacy or other relevant discipline to enable qualification as a QP in accordance with EU Directive 2001/83/EC
  • You have experience as a Qualified Person (QP) or delegate QP
  • You have at least two years of relevant industry experience in a Quality Assurance department
  • You have a thorough knowledge of relevant cGMP regulations (Eudralex vol. 4)
  • You work well independently, and are comfortable making decisions while being a team player
  • You have a quality mindset whilst being pragmatic and solution oriented
  • You can manage several tasks simultaneously and are able to prioritise based on criticality
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with no day quite like another as we are in the fortunate position that our business is in continual expansion
  • You have good communication skills, also when working under pressure
  • You are experienced in working with tight deadlines
  • You are fluent in English and Danish
  • It is an advantage if you have some experience from production processes such as fermentation, freeze drying, and packaging and/or in other relevant International Standards (ISO/FSSC 22000, ISO 9001), some knowledge of food safety management and food microbiology.
  • It is also an advantage if you hold a Lead Auditor qualification
