Examples of equipment are fillings lines, freeze dryers, packaging lines, assembly lines, fluid beds, w&s equipment, etc.

The candidate will become a key member of our Finished Products & Medical Device department.  We provide highly specialised consulting and engineering services by combining our experience of production processes, highly automated equipment and regulatory aspects (GMP).

Examples of our services are:

  •  Production establishment, from small pilot setups to large-scale manufacturing
  •  Equipment specification & Process analysis
  •  Process validation and equipment testing
  •  Equipment upgrades & optimisation
  •  Design of flexible production setups
  •  Secondary Packaging development with focus on manufacturability
  •  Risk assessment of products and processes

The job
Your focus will be on being the technical lead on equipment projects for finished products and medical devices in the pharmaceutical industry.  These projects typically involve topics such as production equipment principles, requirement specifications, vendor selection and supervision, qualification/validation, risk assessment and coordination between activities on our and the client’s side. The project teams you will be heading up will consist of engineers from your home department and engineers from other departments (e.g. Automation, Quality, Utility, Building Construction, etc) depending on how multidisciplinary the project in question is. An important part of your responsibilities will be to handle the day to day communication with key representatives from our clients, and you will also contribute to the bidding process in which the contract with the client and the project team is established.

In most of your projects you will get the opportunity to participate in the actual project execution, typically by handling the deliverables you have experience with from the past. Also, some of your project management assignments will be as staff augmentation projects, where you will lead a project within our client’s organisation for a period, which will enable you to get closer to our customers and really get a deep understanding of their businesses. Your home base will be our active and exciting environment at our NNE Pharmaplan offices in the Greater Copenhagen area.

Your home department employs more than 50 highly skilled and enthusiastic engineers and pharmacists, providing a tremendous pool of knowledge at arms-length. In the wider organisation, you will also gain access to our more than 1000 engineers spread over more than 25 locations around the world. We offer our employees the opportunity to work in international projects, as well as projects based in and around the Greater Copenhagen area. Most of our projects include occasional visits at international clients and suppliers, so a bit of work-related travel is expected, albeit we are always focused on maintaining a sound work-life-balance for our employees. If you have a globetrotting mind-set, we also offer the opportunity to apply for long-term projects in our other regions.

Your qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • You hold a relevant bachelor or master degree in engineering or as pharmacist
  • You have minimum 10 years of experience with equipment and processes relating to production of finished products and medical devices for the pharmaceutical industry
  • You have experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • You have significant experience in technical project management
  • You possess the communication skills and attitude required to deal directly with our clients on a day to day basis
  • You are able to deal with frequent scope changes and changes to project staffing
  • You enjoy motivating your team members and your charisma and empathy enable you to bring out the best in your project team members
  • You speak and write English fluently
  • Fluency in a Scandinavian Language is an advantage
