For our Human Health productions in Roskilde, Avedøre and Hørsholm as well as subcontractors, we are looking for a QA Chemist. You will become part of our global quality organization and report to our QA Manager, located in Global Product Quality, Cultures and Enzymes Division (CED). 

Chr. Hansen is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of microbial cultures to the dairy industry, but also pharma-, feed- and other food industry are part of our core business. We drive continuous improvement activities within development of products, processes and systems, and as QA Chemist you will have great impact on those activities. 
You will be responsible for securing the quality of our products for Human Health and Nutrition (HHN) within the GMP area, which are probiotics for dietary-, infant- and pharmaceutical use. 

Your tasks 
Most importantly you will continue to improve our quality system and secure a high quality level for our products. You will support with quality expertise both in daily operations, projects and long term strategies. 

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Approve and facilitate handling of deviations from, production, QC and Analytical development
  • Participate in root cause analysis of deviations and complaints
  • Be QA on validation and qualification projects, both for production equipment and laboratories
  • Provide guidance and quality support to our stability monitoring programme and approve reports
  • Secure the quality and approval of raw materials for production
  • Be gatekeeper on quality related projects
  • Approve Process Validations and secure our Process Validation strategy
  • Participate in audits from customers, authorities and external certification bodies. And perform audits depending on your background
  • Approve and facilitate handling of change controls
  • Support the organization with current information on requirements and quality status
  • Initiate and review SOP’s
  • Secure visibility of QA in our production and development facilities

Your personal profile

  • You hold a master degree in Microbiology, Engineering, Food Science, pharmacy or in other way qualifying for a GMP QA
  • You have an operational mind and preferably you have experience from the pharmaceutical industry, dietary supplements or food industry
  • You have good knowledge about relevant cGMP regulation (Eudralex vol. 4) and maybe also relevant International Standards (ISO/FSSC 22000, ISO 9001)
  • You have experience from working with trouble shooting and root cause investigations
  • You thrive within a very changing environment and within a complex mix of products and regulatory requirements
  • You have knowledge about production processes as fermentations, freeze drying, packaging, and/or laboratories, or you are eager to learn more about it
  • You are self-driven and like to create overview and to prioritize, communicate and act on that
  • As a person you are both skilled and pragmatic
  • You like to secure that things are finalized and done in due time
  • You have a proactive drive and is motivated as well as motivating
  • You have a lovely humor and can easily socialize with many different people. A real team-player
  • You need a driving license and your own car to be able to move between our plants in Roskilde and Avedøre as well as our main office in Hørsholm
