This is an opportunity to be Head of Completion Equipment & Technology in the Well Services Department in Esbjerg. The Well Services Department is responsible for all well-related issues, and you will lead the Completion Equipment & Technology team. 

Your department manages and maintains the stock completion equipment used in new wells and workovers.

You will be based at our offices with approximately 500 onshore employees in Esbjerg, a beautiful and growing city right on the shore of the North Sea. The location of Denmark’s 5. largest city allows you to enjoy the best of nature while being close to the buzz of smaller and larger cities in the region.

You will be part of an organisation where safety is top priority and values like “Constant Care” are actually lived out.

Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to lead, motivate and further develop your team of 5 Well Equipment Technologists. You will also work hands-on in providing creative and innovative input and support to the ongoing operation in the other Well Services teams. As Head of the team, you are responsible for:

  • Providing functional specification and forecasting of required completion equipment
  • Trouble shooting on equipment and technologies used
  • Maintenance and certification of Maersk owned surface equipment and downhole tools
  • Reviewing present technologies on the market and adapt relevant technologies to well services’ requirements
  • Providing project management expertise to ensure that the various ongoing development and application projects are structured, tracked and reported - both financially and technically
  • Performing the required tests in the horizontal test loop of new tools and technologies

Who we are looking for

  • As a person, you are team-oriented, yet self-motivated and efficient. Moreover, you:
  • Hold a degree within Engineering
  • Have at least 6 years of well experience within the oil & gas industry
  • Have broad knowledge of completion and well intervention equipment
  • Keep yourself updated on the latest trends
  • Have the leadership experience allowing you to lead and motivate the specialists in your team
  • Are fluent in English, verbally as well as written
