In the department for Ports and Geo Structures in Ørestad (Copenhagen) we are involved in a number of significant port and coastal projects at home and abroad.

The assignments range from international port projects (in for example the Philippines, Lebanon, Morocco, UAE, Russia, Poland, and Greenland), coastal engineering and planning assignments to the planning and design of other marine structures such as offshore foundations for bridges and wind turbines.

Further, the department is involved in significant infrastructure projects involving complex geotechnical structures such as for example Nordhavnsvej, Copenhagen-Ringsted and the Fehmarn-Ringsted connection.

The department works with all kinds of coastal hydraulic assignments, coastal engineering and Shoreline Management. An increasing number of flooding management and coastal protection projects, related to more frequent and severe storms the past years, is part of the department’s portfolio.

Our clients are typically Port Authorities, Terminal Operators, Contractors, Municipalities or private clients.

To help us, we are looking for a highly skilled colleague who can take a leading technical role in the planning and design of ports plus marine and coastal engineering projects.

We are looking for a colleague who has wide technical competences and experience. Our new colleague needs to have deep professional insight into the ports plus marine and coastal engineering area and the capacity to act as mentor and technical lifeline for younger colleagues.

We are looking for a person, who either directly or within a few years can step up to become chief consultant in the department.

You will experience variable, often unpredictable days with many exciting and diverse tasks. This brings challenges but also great self-determination and influence on your working day where you can influence the development in an open dialogue.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of dedicated colleagues, who among others work with the following tasks:

  • Feasibility studies
  • Port planning
  • Design of port structures
  • Design of marine structures
  • Coastal engineering and shoreline management
  • Hydrodynamic modelling and assessments
  • Environmental Impact Assessments/VVM

You and your competencies
You are a senior engineer with 10-15 years of experience within planning and design of ports and/or marine/coastal structures. You have sound technical qualifications, are independent and can take responsibility, and have experience within project management.

As the position involves a wide contact across departments, partners and others, it is important that you have good cooperation skills, can communicate across all levels, and are fluent in English.

You are motivated by responsibility and influence in your workday and want to work in an independent job in a leading Nordic knowledge company.
