Team Lead Tower Internals

For our offshore Customer Order Engineering unit, we are looking for a Team Lead for the design team responsible for delivering tower internals solutions for Siemens offshore wind projects worldwide. As a person with high seniority and a proven track record within wind turbine tower design, you will be our front figure leading the team of professional experts knowing everything there is to know about cutting edge tower design, manufacturing and installation methodologies.

As a leader for your colleagues in an experienced and multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will have responsibilities within the sales and tender phase as well as being the responsible person for  delivering the entire range of engineering processes from the first concept studies and through to installation and follow up.

What are my responsibilities?
You will be responsible for the daily management of a newly established Tower Internals team within the Offshore Custom Order Engineering unit. An important task will be to further develop the competences of your team to secure a targeted and solid engineering support for our growing offshore business. Ensuring a close cooperation with the multi-functional teams within Siemens Wind Power as well as with external consultants working with projects in both sales and execution phases is essential. More specifically, your responsibilities will cover:

• Implementation of the Offshore Engineering Strategy within scope of tower internals
• Providing technical support in tender negotiation and execution phases
• The entire design process to ensure state of the art project specific tower solutions from concept, fabrication, installation and through to decommissioning
• Implementation of third-party review and certifications processes and ensuring all open design issues are addressed and closed
• Promoting industrialization process within design teams

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have a relevant technical background on minimum Bachelor Sc. level combined with experience within leading high skilled professionals
• You understand general company processes and are result and quality oriented
• You are able to work and successfully communicate at different organizational levels in a multi-cultural environment
• You possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing
