Join DONG Energy and become Wind Energy Analyst in Wind Assessment, consisting of 8 dedicated colleagues responsible for assessing and delivering production estimates for wind farm business cases. We enjoy a feedback culture, focusing on leadership, processes and development. We also focus on value creation by increasing certainty of our wind measurements and estimates and developing better methods for optimising wind farm layouts in order to reduce the cost of energy.

Wind Assessment is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility 
As Wind Energy Analyst, you assess wind resources for utility-scale wind farms in collaboration with your team.

Furthermore your key duties will be to:

  • perform wind data analyses
  • prepare wind farm layouts
  • conduct uncertainty and loss analyses
  • contribute to specifying wind measurement campaigns  
  • assess operational wind farm data.

Your profile
You are an experienced or recently qualified engineer with a background in wind energy. Furthermore, you have excellent IT skills, and a high level of skill in MatLab or another high-level technical computing language. It is also beneficial if you have knowledge of the industry standard software WAsP and WindPRO, etc.

As we are an international company and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.

As a person, you contribute actively to the development of our knowledge base and participate in solving related development tasks and studies. It is essential that you have excellent analytical abilities and are able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely and effective manner.

You are comfortable working autonomously and together with your partners, and you have the ability to prioritise your tasks during busy and challenging periods. Finally, you have good communication skills and are able to present results professionally to your colleagues and business partners.
