Maersk Drilling is preparing the organization for future growth and we are now looking for a Quality Engineer for our Technical Organization.

We Offer
As Quality Engineer you will be a part of the Maersk Drilling Technical Organization, working alongside dedicated colleagues. You will refer to the Head of QM and Technical Safety.

The Quality Engineer is to assist the Quality Manager in the establishment of an effective QMS for the Technical Organization and to support the projects to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the Sirirus Management System and Rules, Regulations and Standards.

Quality shall be assured through:

  • Clear overview of requirements.
  • Demonstration of MD quality management processes are in accordance with requirements and thereby proven effective, understandable and correctly implemented
  • Maintain the existing system as required
  • Risk based approach to quality assurance
  • Process assurance (Audit & Review)

Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities include following specific duties:

  • Develop a system for tracking of responses and actions related specifically to findings of the rigs under construction.
  • Act as focal point, as required, for inspections of the rigs, hereunder those under construction.
  • Assist in the establishment of the Quality Management System for Projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the Project Management and HSE Plans and associated procedures.
  • Manage the established system for verification of discipline engineers’ knowledge of regulations related to his field in order for them to conduct commissioning etc. according to requirements.
  • Develop and implement ways of enhancing compliance culture within projects.

Who we are looking for
To be considered for this position, you hold a Engineering Degree or other relevant technical, project or maritime education. You have relevant experience in management systems and/or project management and have a solid knowledge of Continental Shelf Regulatory requirements and implementation approach.

The right candidate has solid stakeholder management experience and good verbal and written communication skills.

You like to challenge and improve project processes and possess strong analytical and investigative skills.
