Sigma Designs is expanding its ASIC design team in the Copenhagen office to develop a new series of 32-bit-MCU multimode low power wireless modems.

Sigma Designs is the company behind the Z-Wave Wireless Communication Standard. Z-Wave enables low cost and power conscious wireless Home Control applications.

Job Description
We offer a specialist in modeling, design, layout, simulation, and post silicon verification of analogue, RF and mixed signal low power circuits in sub-nanometer (55nm and beyond) CMOS technologies a chance to become a part of a successful ASIC team in Sigma Designs Z-Wave division.

The mixed-signal/analogue design team is responsible for development and maintenance of a range of low-power IP’s including all the frontend and baseband components of a multi-standard wireless transceiver, of DC-DC converters, DAC and ADC blocks, power and clock management/generator components etc.

The team uses advanced productivity tools for systems modelling, sizing, optimization and layout. Operation, control, biasing and trimming feedback loops in these function blocks often includes shared DSP/ASIP or RTL-FSM engines, hence the ideal applicant masters disciplines from both electronics engineering, IT and computer science. The applicant should be a fast learner, have a MSc equivalent level of understanding of circuit and signal analysis, and be able to use tools and programming languages for behavioral abstractions and modelling.

In return
We expect motivation, willingness to learn, creativity, and capacity to work collaboratively in the team. In return we offer you a chance to be a driving force in Sigma Designs wireless MCU product development, and a chance to develop your skills in a dynamic and highly innovative technology company in a rapidly growing market.
