For our Manufacturing Technology department (MT) within our Industrial Engineering department we are looking for a proactive and outgoing Manager. The MT department works as a support function for the production and is the link between the production and the Engineering department. The MT department consists of 3 team responsibles for the production layout for new production lines, the updating of existing production lines and the development and updating of production documentation (work instructions and checklists). As Manager, you will be working closely together with internal departments such as Production, Tooling, and Engineering, and will be reporting to the Head of Industrial Engineering.
 
 
What are my responsibilities?
You will be overall responsible for the Documentation team and the Manufacturing Technology Operation team and will be working closely together with the team leads of both teams. Furthermore, you will be directly responsible for the Assembly Concept team and function as the daily Team Lead for the industrial engineers of the team.
 

  • Documentation team: Securing high assembly quality through work instructions (ZWI) and checklist (ZCH) for NPI projects and running production.
  • Manufacturing Technology Operation team: Securing flow and process optimization of existing production lines (ramp up/down) and function as interface between the Production and the Engineering department.
  • Assembly Concept team: Developing and implementing new assembly concepts and production setups (flow and process) in regard to the actual product and expected capacity (NPI projects).

 
Furthermore you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all direct and indirect employees within Manufacturing Technology and securing their development and satisfaction.
  • Being the interface between the Production, technology standards and Engineering in regard to assembly and manufacturing technology.
  • Being responsible for the Manufacturing Technology department’s budget.
  • Developing and maintaining strategies for the Manufacturing Technology department, including business processes and systems.
  • Securing the alignment of assembly procedures, manufacturing technology and product knowledge.

 
What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You have a background in engineering, e.g. within construction, production, mechanical engineering etc.
  • You have leadership and management skills, combined with 3-5 years of relevant management experience.
  • Preferably, you have experience with managing other managers.
  • Preferably, you have experience with manufacturing technology.
  • As a person you are proactive, persistent, self-driven and operational and thrive in a busy environment with high demands.
  • Furthermore, you have excellent English skills, both orally and in writing, and preferably good Danish skills as well.
