Approval Engineer

Then you could be the Approval Engineer we seek at Danfoss Solar Inverters at the department for Grid Approval. We are ensuring that all Danfoss Solar Inverters meet local Grid Connection requirements and approvals. You will be responsible for planning and executing certification of Solar Inverters regarding Grid Connection standards and requirements. This implies establishing and maintaining approval processes in order to meet market demands or legal specifications. Building relations and conveying requirements
As Approval Engineer your mission will be to monitor and detect changes to existing standards, as well as ensure that certification is completed as planned. This implies planning and executing certification of Solar Inverters in relation to Grid Connection standards and requirements. This involves close contact with relevant authorities, ensuring the necessary documentation, executing tests internally and externally as well as evaluating test results and negotiating with authorities to achieve the desired results. Additional tasks will be to:
- plan and execute testing and certifications in collaboration with internal and external test labs and approval authorities
- document results and write reports and certifications
- ensure availability of relevant standards and certifications and compile them for relevant stakeholders
- execute tests and provide input to the marketing material regarding the products
The job entails only little travelling, approx. 5-10 days per year.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyse and compile complex standards
You hold a technical background within electrical engineering and you have basic knowledge of electrical grid systems and preferably software programming. You have an analytical mindset, and you have the ability to read, understand and convey specifications and requirements from standards. You are structured and you have the aptitude for creating overview. You are a team player though you are not afraid of being on your own among international authorities. You are a good communicator and you master English on negotiation level - both in speech and writing.
