Lean Coordinator for Enzyme Recovery department in Kalundborg
Supply Operations consist of more than 3.300 employees globally and covers Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Process Development in Novozymes.
Following a 1½ year Lean pilot program in our Supply Chain Operations, the management team has decided to launch a globally aligned Lean program aiming for operational excellence throughout the entire Supply Operations.

A Lean program office is currently being established with Lean Performance Managers and Lean Transformation Specialists in each region, and we are now looking for a skilled Lean Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the local production leaders and department manager in the roll out process and the following Lean journey to operational excellence.

The Lean Coordinator will refer to the Senior Manager of the Enzyme Recovery department BE in Kalundborg, and be responsible for supporting and driving Lean activities in the department.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in Engineering or other relevant background
  • +3 years of working experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean principles, methods and tools
  • Strong process and analytical skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Systematic and structured
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Danish and English are required

Challenges
The department Recovery BE includes 37 employees and is one of two departments in Kalundborg responsible for operation of enzyme recovery. The department BE has a main role in recovery of enzymes for the food industry, but do also supply enzyme concentrates for other applications as well. Costs are always in focus, but the major focus areas in the near future are improvement of quality and delivery through structured problem solving and improvement projects.

The Lean Coordinator will ensure competences are built up for all employees in the department, and be responsible for supporting/driving Lean activities. Board meetings and daily diary are established. Structured problem solving has to be accelerated. There is a big potential to reduce variation in production processes as well as working procedures.
