Alfa Laval - the world's leading supplier of marine boilers - is looking for a Sales Engineer to our Sales Support Centre department within the segment Marine & Diesel Systems, Parts & Service (MPS). The position is based in Aalborg, Denmark.

Your challenges and tasks
As our new Sales Support engineer you will participate in a very efficient and flexible team where your main task will be global technical support and sales regarding boiler, burner, control panels and associated equipment.

You will work with a wide span of tasks ranging from planning, service delivery and customer contact to final documentation. You will have a significant impact on our performance.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Make an active sales efforts and handling customers enquiry
  • Project orientated sale e.g. control system and replacing burner
  • Advise customers and internal sales colleagues on possible repairs/upgrades to bring back the operation of the boiler plant
  • Conduct internal training for our sales companies within EU and North America
  • Participate in customer visits and negations whenever needed.
  • Participate in the departments work schedule
  • Ad hoc  projects

Your profile and competences
We are looking for a colleague with a technical background as a Marine Engineer - preferably having knowledge about Alfa Laval boiler systems as well as marine field experience is an advantage.

At a personal level your motivation and ability to analyse and achieve comprehensive and deep product knowledge is essential, combined with a well-organised approach to your tasks from beginning to end.  You are outgoing, proactive and capable of handling many tasks and at the same time meet your deadlines.

Further, good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, along with good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
