Quotation engineer
As the Quotation engineer you will be responsible for cost calculation of our projects and also for preparing technical quotation to our customer.
Alfa Laval Copenhagen A/S, Engineering & Supply handles projects for the POWER, Refinery and MARINE industries. We deliver desalination plant, process modules within the Alfa Laval group. You will be part of the Desalination team who is supplying fresh water generators in the range from 200t/day to + 7.000t/day to all the word.
The Job
As the Quotation engineer you will be responsible for cost calculation of our projects and also for preparing technical quotation to our customer. Correct quotation work is essential for a profitable business.
Key tasks
- Technical support to the Power, Refinery and Marine applications
- Based on the request from the customer you will be responsible for the technical clarification, prepare the technical quotation and do the cost calculation and deviation list
- Improve our tools and methods for more efficient quotation work
- Secure that our price lists are updated
- Establish non-standard and item lists
- Participate in project execution and competitiveness activities
- Link between Purchasing, Market Unit and Engineering
Your background
- You have an engineer degree with good experience in fluid handling and process equipment/plants
- With your good technical background and experience you feel that quotation work is very motivating and very important
- You are used to working as a project engineer on big projects
- You have knowledge of pressure tanks manufacturing as well as international documentation standards
- Experienced within the Power, Refinery and Marine industry is preferred
- You must be efficient and goal oriented
- Your work approach is constructive, structured and systematic and you enjoy teamwork
- You have a good cross-cultural awareness
