Electronics Engineers for 3D Scanner Development

At 3Shape, we take pride in having developed some of the world’s leading 3D digitization devices - all in house. We have grown from 2 to more than 450 employees in 14 years and are now present in all major global markets. Most of our scanners are used for medical applications and thus help improve peoples’ lives. 

3Shape’s scanner development department is made up of motivated experts in hardware-near software, optics, electronics, and mechanics, the major skills needed to build a 3D scanner. We also have supporting functions such as test, prototyping, and regulatory affairs. 

Our electronics team works on tasks such as PCB schematic capture and layout, programming of microcontrollers, FPGAs and embedded systems, design for EMC, high-speed data transfer, motor, sensor/image sensor and laser interfacing, and mechatronics. The team is involved in the whole product lifecycle from concept phase to transfer to production and 
product maintenance. 

Our cutting-edge technology is the basis for our world market leadership. To help us build the next generation of even more accurate scanners for medical applications, we are expanding once again and will be looking for 2 new colleagues. 

Your Profile 

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering 
• In-depth knowledge and high level of skills in at least some of above disciplines, with very high-speed AD conversion being an important skill for one of the open vacancies 
• Besides being specialized in one of the listed disciplines you possess general knowledge on the other fields 
• Being able to contribute both with a strong theoretical background in the design phase and practical skills for building and using experimental setups during the exploratory phase 
• Ideally, you also have some relevant background in software
