SW Engineer for advanced hydrodynamic experimental technology and customised software solutions

We are looking for an enthusiastic and result oriented software developer to join DHI in Denmark.

DHI is a leading developer and supplier of advanced model testing technology for hydraulic and hydrodynamic testing laboratories around the world. Besides designing, developing and producing hardware and software, the equipment is used in DHI’s own model testing facilities. DHI also develops and markets a larger suite of scientific based software products including the world-leading MIKE by DHI products as well as customised software solutions (MIKE Customised), all related to modelling of water. The software development takes place mainly at our centres in Denmark, Singapore and China.

As a software developer/DSP (Digital Signal Processing) engineer you will be developing new technologies for control of wave generation, online wave absorption, data acquisition and advanced time and frequency domain analysis. You will also be involved in development of customised software solutions to support our quest in solving the world’s challenges in water environments.

Your main responsibilities will include a number of aspects of software development for our experimental hardware products including maintenance, implementation of new innovations (eg. coupling numerical and experimental models in real time), technical support to external clients and in-house users. You will be working with engineers, developers and modellers.

Professional qualifications

  • MSc or similar in computer science, engineering or related fields
  • Strong background in real time data control and DSP
  • Solid experience with .NET and C# and other programming languages in multithreaded environments
  • Knowledge/experience in Visual Studio and version control systems
  • Experience with MATLAB and National Instruments hardware and software will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge in wave hydrodynamics and experience with hydraulic laboratory hardware will be an advantage
