Toxicologist
We supply the toxicological and safety evaluations needed for registration and legal sales of Novozymes products all over the world. As a toxicologist you will be contributing to the generation of toxicological information to safeguard the high quality of Novozymes products within enzymes and biologicals and to meet the requirements of the authorities. You will be working cross-functionally as project member in one or more of the area’s projects.
 
Qualifications

  • Relevant scientific background (MSc, PhD, DVM) with at least 5 years of experience within toxicology and safety evaluations preferably with emphasis on industrial enzymes and microorganisms.
  • Experience in genotoxicological methods (e.g. Ames test).
  • Microbiological understanding and interest in strain evaluations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in the group and area.
  • Comfortable working both as a specialist and as group member.  
  • You inspire trust among colleagues and stakeholders and thrive in a busy environment and bring a “can-do mind-set” to your work.

Challenges
You will take part as a study director in a high-performance team performing genotox testing internally and in accordance to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice). You will be responsible for the monitoring of toxicological studies conducted at CRO’s (Contract Research Organisations) around the world. You will take active part in the development of the department’s competences within new areas such as safety assessment of biologicals and microorganisms to support Novozymes’ growth. You must be capable of working in a complex inter-disciplinary organization, and as a strong team player you are expected to make an impact and to ask questions and to challenge the status quo if needed.
