In the Oil and Gas industry
DNV GL is the leading technical advisor to the global oil and gas industry. Major Duties
You will participate in and/or manage multi-discipline projects which all have focus on team work and close interaction with our clients. The position includes a large variety of projects and offers a great opportunity for personal as well as professional development.The position will include several work tasks:

  • Design approval (new installations and repair/modification/replacement projects of electrical and instrumentation)
  • Reappraisal for recertification
  • Annual surveys
  • Fabrication survey at vendors incl. participation in FAT
  • Periodical offshore surveys
  • Participation in keeping the section updated with necessary knowledge and competence
  • Project management of own minor to medium projects and performance of other project related work

Position Qualifications
We expect that you:

  • have an Engineering degree (e.g. M.Sc./B.Sc. in EE or EP)or equivalent
  • Topside general safety layout
  • Risk assessment incl. knowledge of overall safety aspects and evaluations, e.g. functional safety aspects
  • Emergency shutdown systems (ESD/PSD/F&G)
  • UPS, Emergency and Power systems/equipment.
  • Fire and gas detection systems
  • Electrical rotating equipment
  • Project management
  • Familiar with Danish legislation (e.g. executive orders under the Danish Offshore Safety Act), national and international standards and European directives, e.g. DS/EN, ISO, API, NORSOK, ATEX, PED, stærkstrømsbekendtgørelsen etc.
  • have strong data entry speed and accuracy
  • have excellent time management skills
  • have strong English skills (written and spoken)
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Are fluent in English both written and oral
  • are proactive in achieving results
  • are self-motivated, independent-thinker
  • are excellent in MS Office/ have strong MS Office knowledge (especially Excel)
  • have strong analytic skills
  • work in depth with your assignments and have a good balance between detail and overview
  • are self-motivated and result and quality oriented
  • Have organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and set and adjust priorities
  • General knowledge of the offshore market and equipment and components in the sector
  • have strong project management skills
