Flight Simulator Engineer to Copenhagen

The primary role is to ensure that the simulators and all other training devices are maintained to the highest possible standards and are fit for training. This is a full time permanent position, starting as soon as possible.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Meet and debrief crew. Assist and advise customers and training instructors to ensure maximum benefit from training time.
  • Carry out daily readiness/quality check and sign off simulator as ‘fit for training’.
  • Preparation of ground school equipment and carry out a daily readiness check.
  • Ensure technical logs, job cards and simulator information boards accurately reflect status of the simulators.
  • Monitor Technical Log entries and assess what corrective actions, spares, instruments etc are required, ensuring items are available.
  • Ensure that all technical log entries are cleared on a daily basis through corrective action or by raising a job card.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance as required.
  • Repair unserviceable Line Replacement Units (LRU’s).
  • Brief counterpart engineering staff on the status of the simulator during shifts handover.

Role requirements

  • Experienced simulator engineer or avionics technicians with good overall understanding of avionic system functionality in aircraft.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Good knowledge in electronics and measuring techniques.
  • High Software understanding and competencies, preferably UNIX, etc.
  • Proficient in general hardware computer systems.
  • Team player.
  • Able to work on own initiative and have the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to energize and influence others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Denmark.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and fluent in one or more of the Scandinavian languages.
  • This role involves shift work, on a rolling shift pattern.
