Oticon is looking for a talented Protocol & Modeling Designer to join our wireless technology team - is it you?

We offer you a great chance to work with modeling and developing wireless protocols for next generation wireless platforms.
 
The wireless Technology team is part of Silicon Engines, responsible for developing next generation mixed mode IC platforms used in Oticon and multi brands hearing instruments. Silicon Engines consist totally of 45 designers, covering analog and digital IC designers, FW developers, test and evaluation designers.
 
Oticon is a large, growth-orientated company within the stabile medico-technical industry where our +450 engineers are all committed to deliver well-built and innovative solutions.
 
What can you expect? 
Delivering simulation results/models and design specifications to IC and firmware designers will be part of your daily work. In close corporation with the different competences, you have influence on the complete wireless system design.
 
This is an opportunity to influence the IC design to ensure high performance and cutting-edge solutions.
 
Your responsibilities
Your main responsibilities are setting up a complete simulation environment and flow covering the wireless channel and the physical layer, for up front system design, evaluation and verification.
 
Furthermore, you will be handling: 

  • Design, simulation and test of communication protocols for Oticons wireless systems
  • Creation of communication models intended for proof of concepts and verification
  • Development of simulation frameworks in matlab/Simulink/C-code
  • Document the requirement specifications

 
As a modelling and protocol designer, we expect that you are able to work at different levels of abstraction, overall system levels and on detailed subjects.
 
Is it you?
You may have an educational background at M.Sc. level or a PHD, ideally within Electrical Engineering. However, it is your mathematical skills and knowledge of basic digital wireless communication we value the most in order for you to succeed in this position.
 
You have good software skills and strive for working with modeling and system simulations. We appreciate knowledge about IC design and wireless applications (audio codec, link management).
